Base Rate: $109,600 - $164,400 (salary band placement commensurate with experience).

Position Summary:
- Demonstrates and promotes Trillium’s culture, values and management philosophy.
- Ensure hospital facilities comply with all applicable legislation and standards by overseeing the repair, maintenance, and performance of medical, mechanical, electrical, heating, cooling etc. systems.
- Collaborate closely with the Manager and Director of the Master Plan and Redevelopment team to support a cohesive, collaborative approach to advancing both THP’s organizational goals and capital plan.
- Collaborate with the THW Gilgan Family Queensway Health Centre project team and constructor to lead planning for commissioning, CMMS setup, training materials, job routines, preventive maintenance programs, contract development etc. in preparation for building occupancy.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve operational and facility-related issues, including troubleshooting system deficiencies to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations.
- Recommend implementation of new technologies, equipment and ensure safety and quality assurance standards have been attained.
- Demonstrates and role models a positive attitude and encourages a strong team approach to all staff and peers.
- Participate in Human Resources labour relations activities and Finance-led budget planning processes to support effective people management and strong financial accountability.
- Recruits, coaches, mentors, develops, evaluates and manages the performance and development of staff.
- Maintain established Trillium Health Partners principles, protocols and objectives for quality assurance and safety, including all regulatory bodies and the Collective Agreement.
- Review and assess departmental procedures, recommending and implementing improvements as required.
- Must be available for after-hours emergencies and provide on-call support on a rotational basis.
Key Qualifications:
- Degree and/or College Diploma or relevant experience in building sciences field, with a P. Eng. or CET or Facilities Management designation preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years management/leadership experience in Facilities management, in a large unionized, Health Care related environment.
- Excellent proven knowledge of complex electrical and mechanical building systems, codes, standards, regulations and legislation.
- Experience and working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, as well as in fire/safety regulations within a health care setting.
- Exceptional team building, analytical, writing and presentation skills as well as a demonstrated ability to lead people, accomplish identified as well as new goals and objectives to achieve desired outcomes.
- Expertise in budgeting, cost-control, and financial management and planning with a commitment to constantly improving services and programs within Trillium Health Partner’s busy and fast-growing community.
- Excellent organizational, project management and project commissioning experience, partnership building and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to organize and prioritize work and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and customer service orientated environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a dynamic team of professionals and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong computer working knowledge, particularly of MS Office applications, etc.
